If you’re planning a party or a wedding, you’ll know exactly how expensive stationary is. I mean, we thought Paperchase was bad (do we really NEED another £10 notebook to sit and stare at and never write in?) but it’s got nothing on the wedding industry. Everything has a premium slapped on it for a wedding anyway, so it probably won’t come as a surprise that a set of invitations, save the dates, RSVP’s and menu cards for your big day will set you back around £300. As a diehard fan of creating stuff and not spending £300 on paper, I thought it would be fun to dive headfirst into the do-it-yourself vibe and start with the engagement party invites.
Our theme, so far, is inspired by all things modern botanical so I wanted our engagement party invitations to reflect that without giving too much away. They were so much fun to put together and I think they look great with the addition of easy DIY envelope liners. I am in full-on planning mode for the party and I’m even working with a few incredible brands on some little surprises for the day. I can’t wait to reveal all soon. In the meantime, let me know what you think of these invitations and leave a comment if you’ve attempted something similar for your own party or wedding day!
On a side note, how cute were we as little people?!
. If anyone is interested in how I make the envelope liners just leave me a message in the comments. I’d love to know what you think.
