DIY: BEDSIDE LIGHTS

bedside

I was only in Copenhagen for a few days back in 2014, but the happy city really captured my heart in terms of Danish-inspired design. Everywhere you go the cool, industrial-style interiors are enhanced with these long pendant lamps and cage lights costing upwards of £100 each. These bedside lights cost me less than £15 each. That’s a much friendlier price in everyone’s books.

You can even re-create them for a mere £13.94 if you buy your pendant lights from here instead of here. I didn’t know Clas Ohlson stocked them, and I’m slightly begrudged to say that they are way cooler than mine – especially this one! *stamps foot*

Just get your hands on any wooden bracket, mine are £3.95 from B&Q, and mount them to the wall where you want your light to hang. We wrapped the pendant cord around the bracket a few times for a disheveled sort of look, and left the cord to hang in true Scandi-style!

To complete the industrial styling, I’m going to treat myself to one of these achingly-cool light frames. They are a ridiculous £9.99 in Clas Ohlson. See you there in five minutes?
